Functional Capacity Evaluation
Introducing the international market leader ISERNHAGEN WORK SYSTEMS (IWS) model to Ireland for the first time, our FCE is an objective evaluation of the functional ability of injured persons to perform work related tasks. A recent study has shown that, of 628 chronically injured persons (i.e. over 10 months out of work), 382 (61%) returned to work following an IWS FCE, without any further intervention.
Functional Capacity Evaluations are of benefit to employers, insurance companies, legal teams and individuals. An important tool in the armoury of occupational injury assessment and treatment, testing via an FCE was identified in an IBEC report (1999), as a recommended must for all persons claiming inability to work.
