Entry Point Injury Management
At the heart of ICOR's new approach to occupational injury management is the pro-active approach embodied in it's Entry Point Injury Management program. This program brings together employers, employees and a comprehensive team of heath care service providers in a coordinated approach which ensures that injured workers are cared for from the moment of injury to the time they return to work. The object of the program is to enable the quick assessment of injuries, to ensure that the injured party is provided with suitable treatment and facilities which will speed his/ her recovery while reducing the time spent out of work and the monetary effects of absenteeism and subsequent insurance claims.
ICOR's Injury Management program incorporates a 24 hour managed response including:
- Immediate referral to occupational medical practitioners and therapists
- Analysis of return to work capabilities
- Development of individual care programs
- Where applicable, Functional Capacity Evaluations, functional job analysis and work conditioning programs
- Provision of immediate detailed incident reports to employers including specific injury analysis
- Return to work prognosis and program, and preventative measures to guard against recurrence
- Provision of regular progress reports during recovery period
